Victoria Marina-Tompkins | bio
Victoria Marina-Tompkins is the director of Flight of the Hawk Center for Contemporary Shamanism in Half Moon Bay California where she has been teaching cross cultural shamanism since 1987. She has facilitated vision quests, long term intensive programs, monthly drumming circles, and has a private practice in shamanic counseling and soul retrieval. In 1994, Ms. Marina produced the music CD "Flight of the Hawk: Shamanic Songs and Ritual Chants which continues to be distributed worldwide. She is a professional violinist having played in the San Francisco Bay Area for many years. She has also been featured in national magazines, television and radio for her groundbreaking work with women and was the founding president of the Women's Exchange, a nonprofit women's networking organization.
At the current time Victoria is a full time spiritual consultant living with her husband John Marina-Tompkins on the northern California coast 20 miles south of San Francisco.
She is the mother of one son, Brendan, and the loving guardian of two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Rosie and Jazz. She has previously presented workshops on the 2004 and 2005 Sea Angels Cruises and is happy to be back on board for the 2008 trip to Alaska.

Flight of the Hawk: Shamanic Songs and Ritual Chants
Join Victoria Marina-Tompkins as we experience the Shamanic Medicines of Music, Dance, and Drumming. This workshop will explore songs and chants from each of the Directions of the Medicine Wheel as well as the Drumming Rhythms of Communication, Healing through the Heart, Wisdom of the Ancestors, and the Power of Focus and Intention. Please bring a drum or rattle if you have one, and comfortable clothes for movement.
Animal Medicines of the Pacific Northwest
The Pacific Northwest offers some of the richest Animal Totem mythologies in all of the world. Join Victoria as we explore your personal animal guide for this Sea Angels journey! Learn about the specific medicines of Raven, Whale, Bear and others in this delightful journey into new territories. The workshop will include Shamanic Journeying and Dance so please dress comfortably and bring a small blanket and eye covering. Musical instruments are welcomed!
